Overview
Froedtert & the Medical College of Wisconsin app is a digital engagement platform designed to offer easy and same day care access to high quality health services for in person and on-demand visits from Froedtert & Medical College of Wisconsin.
The Challenge
1. Same-day care access without friction
The client needed a digital platform where users can get quick care through video/chat or book nearby clinics without long navigation or confusion.
2. Multiple care options in one app
The app had to support instant virtual care (on-demand) and also scheduled in-person visits (FastCare, Ortho Now) in a single smooth experience.
3. Secure integration with medical records (MyChart)
Users needed access to their medical records inside the app, which requires reliable and compliant integration with MyChart while maintaining privacy and security.
4. Real-time clinician connection
Instant video and chat with board-certified clinicians required stable communication flows, session handling, and user-friendly interface.
5. Patient-provider communication and scheduling
Patients needed an easy way to message their care team, request appointments, and manage follow-ups inside the same platform.
6. Managing sensitive health data clearly
Medication lists, immunizations, COVID vaccination status, and health information needed to be displayed in a clear, accurate, and easy-to-understand format.
